Out of nine assembly constituencies under Gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency, the highest percentage of voting was recorded in Dera Baba Nanak and 50 percent in Batala.
In the other assembly constituencies, Fatehgarh Chundyan, 63 percent, Bhoa 60 percent, 57 percent Kadia, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Sujanpur and Dinanagar 54-54 percent of the votes were recorded. According to Singh, the poll was peaceful overall and during this time four complaints were received.
1781 polling stations were set up for today’s by-election.
