Flying Officer Avni Chaturvedi has become the first Indian woman to fly a fighter plane. He flew the MiG-21 bison alone. Such was his first flight.
It is from Rewa district which is in Madhya Pradesh. Avni completed his mission by flying from Jamnagar airbase of Gujarat on the morning of 19th February 2018.

He told that the plane was flown by Jamnagar Air Force Station on Monday. Three women pilots Avni Chaturvedi, Sriman Kant and Mohna Singh have been given strict training to fly fighter aircraft.

मध्य प्रदेश की  अवनी चतुर्वेदी ने रचा इतिहास , मिग-21 उड़ाने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला बन गई हैं. उन्होंने सोमवार को जामनगर वायुसेना स्टेशन से उड़ाया. लड़ाकू विमान उड़ाने के लिए तीन महिला पायलटों अवनी चतुर्वेदी, भावना कांत और मोहना सिंह को कड़ा प्रशिक्षण दिया गया है. अवनि ने 19 फरवरी 2018 की सुबह गुजरात (Gujarat) के जामनगर एयरबेस से उड़ान भरकर अपना मिशन पूरा किया।
